Celia Rose Bryant, 87 of Midwest City passed away peacefully on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the Sienna Extended Care and Rehab facility in Midwest City. She was born to Dora Belle and Lee Huls on February 22, 1934.
For most of her adult life, Celia worked in the family pharmacy business. She and her husband Frank were the owners and operators of Bryant Drugstores in Midwest City and Bethany. Celia’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband and her best friend, Phyllis. Celia and Frank loved to spend their time together travelling and going on cruises. Her zest for life was infectious, and those who knew her say that she was a kind, loving person with a warm and giving heart. Celia had a sweet, outgoing personality and loved to be around people. She also loved being around animals and was happy to spend as much time as possible with her dogs, Lady B and CC. One of the proudest moments of Celia’s life was her big break in film - she once wandered onto a movie set and was asked by the director to be an extra in a dance scene in the movie. She loved watching golf and basketball on TV and she was a loyal Oklahoma City Thunder fan.
Celia was a wonderful mother, a loving wife, grandmother, and sister. She touched the hearts of many and will be missed by all who knew her. Celia is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Leland and Yvonne Huls, grandsons John and Robert Manning, and her good friend Phyllis Kunkle.
