Carolyn Blaylock Obituary

Carolyn Sue Blaylock, age 70, passed away peacefully November 13, 2020. She was born October 24, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas to Margaret and Howard Adams. At the age of 16, she married her longtime love, David Lee Blaylock, in March of 1967. They enjoyed 53 amazing years together.
Carolyn loved to love on her family. She selflessly offered to do anything she could to make people happy. Earlier in life, she loved to garden and be in the outdoors. She also shared her love of food and was a wonderful cook. Holidays were made beautiful and special with her loving efforts.
For many years, she spent her time caring for her mother and father residing next door to them the majority of her life. It suited her servant heart. She doted on her children and always found a way to make sure they had what they needed even when money was tight.
Her life was a living example of Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband David, and her three children, Russell Blaylock and wife Dedra, Laura Henry and husband Matthew, Jennifer Woolery and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Haley Holleman and husband Jesse, Natalie Henry, Emma, Sophie, and Evan Blaylock; brothers, Donald Adams and his wife Malynda and Richard Adams and his wife Linda; plus three great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
She is proceeded in death by her mother and father, Margaret and Howard Adams, and her brother Ronald Adams.
Carolyn was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a vivacious personality and always made everyone smile. She will be dearly missed.
Memorial arrangements will be announced at a later time.
