Obituary

Carole Colton, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 78.  She was born December 23, 1944, in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Melvin & Almeta (Carpenter) Webb.  When Carole was younger, she enjoyed square dancing.  She loved going to horse races, especially at Remington Park, with Sherilyn.  She also loved to gamble, and they would go to Firelake in Shawnee.  Carole enjoyed crewel stitching and was very good at it.  She was a huge fan of OKC Thunder basketball, as well as OU and OSU football.  Carole enjoyed watching game shows on TV.  She will be deeply missed.  Carole is survived by her daughter, Sherilyn “Sher” Reeder, of Oklahoma City; and her sister-in-law, Susan Webb, of Brazoria, Texas.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin & Almeta Webb; her son, Jason Horrell; brother, Paul Webb; sister, Evelyn Wehrlen; and infant sister, Melva Sue Webb.  Carole will be laid to rest at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, in Moore, Oklahoma.
