Beverly Clare Obituary

Beverly Jo Clare, 81 of Blanchard, died on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She was born to Elma Clare Sheptak (Moneypenny) and Harold Glen Taylor Sr. in Weston, West Virginia on September 15, 1939. Mrs. Clare was retired from her career as an Analyzer for Candid Colors.

Beverly was a big fan of Elvis Presley and collected Elvis memorabilia throughout her life. She absolutely loved classic muscle cars. The favorite car she ever owned was a 1972 Pontiac LeMans, featuring a glasspack muffler. She also appreciated nature and loved to watch the hummingbirds outside her door.

Beverly had a terrific sense of humor and was always smiling. She loved being behind a camera, capturing her family’s most precious moments. Bev loved her family very much and could often be found taking pictures of them. She also loved going to the casino, her favorite pastime. When she played the slots, she always played the 40-cent button because “the 50-cent button was too expensive”.  She loved travelling to see her family. Bev, her husband Dave and their son Frank would often vacation in Akron, Ohio and visit all of her relatives there. Going to Lawton to visit her brother Harold was always the best time. She looked very forward to their visits because they had a tradition - Harold would either cookout or they would go out for Mexican food, then afterward they would make their way to the casino to gamble the night away.

Ms. Clare was preceded in death by both of her parents as well as her husband, David Clare. She is survived by her son, Frank Clare of Blanchard, a brother, Harold Taylor and his wife Brenda of Texas, a sister, Patty Nagy of Ohio, two granddaughters, Brandy Reed and husband Jubal and April Delucia and husband Johnny, a grandson, Spencer Clare, one great-granddaughter, Destiny Reed, and one great-grandson, Keaton Delucia.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 14  at 1:00PM at John M. Ireland and Son Funeral Home and Chapel located at 120 South Broadway in Moore, Oklahoma and will be officiated by Randy Hollis.
