Betty Jo Luttrell of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on May 18, 2023, at the age of 80. Betty was born on August 2, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of James William Booker and Helen Marie (Crow) Booker.
Betty Jo was a loving and caring woman who enjoyed spending time outdoors. She loved the water and enjoyed spending time at the lake, doing yardwork, and tending to her flower garden. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her spare time. Most of all, Betty loved spending her time with those she loved, especially treasuring the moments she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, teaching the same lesson she taught everyone; unconditional love. Betty, Betty Jo, Aunt Betty, and Mom. Our Betty Boop. Her color wheel was extraordinary. She marched to her own drum, and we would follow. The more the merrier. Having fun and laughing were her best days. You could hear her laughter from one end of the lake to the other end. She was the one to turn to for advice on any subject. She never held anything back. She found her love with Rick late. She would light up when he entered the room. A treasured life of 40 years. You were home in her arms. She was a red-headed spitfire, and she will be very dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Booker, one sister, Shirley Booker, and an uncle, Elmer Mulhausen.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Rick I. Luttrell; three children, son Terry Wilson, and daughters Shelly Hales and husband Chris, and Tammy Snyder and husband Earl; her three grandchildren, Nick Wilson and wife Kelley, Stacie Larmon and husband Nic; five great-grandchildren, Brecklyn Wilson, Kobrin Wilson, Crosby Larmon, Kyla Larmon, and Kynzlee Ashby. Betty is also survived by her sister, Katie James, and many more loving family and friends who will miss her very much.
