Betty L. Cox of Oklahoma City passed away from this life on October 8, 2021 at the age of 78. Betty was born to Gerald and Callie Doyle on November 28, 1942. Betty was a hard worker - she worked at Lee-Way for 20 years and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) .
Betty was a wonderful homemaker, and everyone simply loved her cooking. From her homemade gravy, her fried chicken, roast and potatoes, and her famous mac and cheese, Betty could never go wrong in the kitchen. Her homemade breakfasts were like a smorgasbord of every delicious breakfast food you could imagine. Betty always had a stash of Hostess chocolate cupcakes around the house, and when she wasn’t cooking a fabulous dinner for her family, she loved to go to Braum’s for a chocolate malt.
Betty enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, Solitaire, and doing word searches. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her newest great-grandchild – they were always the highlight of her day! Betty liked to spend time outdoors, going fishing and playing tennis, and she adored going to garage sales. During the week, she never missed an episode of The Price is Right or Wheel of Fortune. Betty’s warm, loving, and caring heart touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gerald and Callie Doyle, and a brother, Truman Doyle.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon Cox; her children, daughter Suzanne Robinson and husband Gary, and son Shannon Cox and wife Angie; grandchildren Ashley Klinkerman and husband Hank, Brittany Wells, Mason Robinson, Hannah Robinson, Courtney Cox, and Kaylee Cox; great-grandson Cade Kilnkerman; as well as two brothers, Harold Doyle, and Stanley Doyle and wife Glenda.
