Barbara Ann Reichert

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Reichert, who went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the age of 76. Born Barbara Ann Haun in Norman, Oklahoma, on December 22, 1947, to her parents Vennie Cleo (Minor) Haun and Joseph Leonard Haun Jr.

She grew up and attended school in Moore, Oklahoma, graduating from Moore High School with the Class of 1966. During her time at Moore High, she played clarinet in the school band, performed as a baton twirler, and was active in the 4H Club where she was once elected “Girl of the Year”. She continued her education at the University of Oklahoma and later graduated from the nursing program at Oklahoma City Community College.Armed with a degree in Nursing and a strong work ethic, Barbara worked as an RN at Physician’s Surgical Center for the majority of her 27 years until her retirement.

Her genuine kindness, warmth, and generosity profoundly impacted everyone fortunate enough to know her. Barbara’s faith in the Lord was dedicated and attended to at Central Church of Christ in Moore. A caretaker to her very core, she was the kind of person who always put others before herself and did everything in her power to help, no matter the situation.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading a good book, tending to her garden, shopping, and cheering for the Sooners and Thunder. More than anything else, Barbara treasured the time spent with the people she loved. Her family will certainly miss her cooking, especially the big breakfasts she’d make when everyone was together at Christmas time.

As we reflect on a life well-lived, we are reminded of the lasting impact Barbara leaves on the hearts of her family and friends, a legacy of love and kindness that will forever endure. She will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Cindy Turbyfill of Moore, Katharine Dobbs of Oklahoma City and Joshua Reichert of Moore. Barbara is also survived by her brother, Ronald Haun, and three grandchildren, Channing, Emerson, and Bennett.
