Antonio Garcia Merchado

Antonio Garcia Machado, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away April 12, 2021, at the age of 94.  He was born September 2, 1926, in Durango, Mexico.  He played the drums and enjoyed making music as well as listening to music.  Antonio enjoyed dancing and socializing.  He enjoyed going out to dinner and he loved family get-togethers with his grandchildren.  Antonio enjoyed working in his yard and being outdoors.  His first love was spending time with his wife, Juana the love of his life of 40 years, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Antonio is survived by 3 children, Guadalupe Garcia, of Oklahoma City, Antonio Garcia, Jr., of Oklahoma City, and Rosa Garcia, of Mexico.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Melquiades Garcia and Belen Machado; and his beloved wife, Juana.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the John M. Ireland and Son Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 3228 S. Western Avenue, in Oklahoma City.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 2706 S. Shartel Ave., in Oklahoma City.  He will be laid to rest at Heritage Burial Park, located at 4000 SW 119th Street, in Oklahoma City.  Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
