Annora Johnston Obituary

Annora L. Bridgeford-Johnston of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life to go Home to the Lord on June 16, 2022, at the age of 74. Annora was born in Okemah, Oklahoma, to Clarence Elmer Bridgeford and Ovela Jane (Stewart) Bridgeford on November 1, 1947. She joined the Air National Guard, and later, the United States Air Force. She went on to have a rewarding career as a Security Guard.

Annora was a very loving, straightforward, blunt person with a heart of gold. From the time she was very young, Annora had a positive outlook on life, as well as a strong moral compass, teaching her kids right from wrong from the time they were very little. She was a wonderful role model for those around her, and when it came to her family, she was the glue that held them all together. She was sweet and encouraging to those around her, and those in her life often sought her advice, knowing that she’d build them up and be completely honest with them. She was a wonderful caretaker to many people in her life.

Her faith was very important to her, and Annora was a God-fearing Christian woman. She had a variety of hobbies that kept her busy, including crafting, embroidery, and quilting. She adored animals, especially horses and cats, but more than anything in life, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, all of whom were her favorite. This honest, honorable woman touched the hearts of many during her lifetime, and she will be dearly missed by her grandkids, her great-grandkids, and all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ovela Bridgeford, her first husband, Johnny Johnson Sr., a son, Johnny Johnson Jr., and three brothers, Jimmy Bridgeford, Ray Bridgeford, and Tommy Bridgeford.

Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Jocie Johnson and family of Oklahoma, and Charles Johnson and family of Oklahoma, and one daughter, Bonnie Stolz and family; one brother, Elmer Bridgeford and wife Linda of Lexington, Oklahoma; sixteen grandkids, and eighteen great-grandkids; four nieces, five nephews, and many loving extended family members and dear friends.
