Andrea Cooper Obituary

Andrea Kay Cooper of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on June 13, 2022, at the age of 54. Andrea was born on April 25, 1968, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Paul and Della Thompson. Growing up, she loved attending races, going to the fair, playing outside with her friends, and going bowling, a sport she continued to love throughout her life.

Andrea was a strong, generous, and kind woman with a feisty streak and a heart of gold. She hated being cold, and hated being wrong, but she loved to laugh and have a good time, and more than anything, she loved her family. She married her soulmate and the love of her life, Richard, on June 18, 1988, in a beautiful ceremony in Nicoma Park, Oklahoma. They were happily married for 33 years and 360 days. Any time she could get the family together in one place, Andrea was a happy lady. She adored spending time with those she loved and enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids grow and play.

She enjoyed a variety of hobbies that kept her happy and active. She loved Vegas vacations with Richard, attending OU football games, going to garage sales and auctions, playing Bingo, and enjoyed her nights out at the casino. She loved music and attended many concerts throughout her life, but her all-time favorite concert experience was seeing Bruno Mars live. She enjoyed watching the Bachelorette and loved any movies on the Lifetime network. Andrea was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Louis Thompson, her mother, Della Ann (Calhoun) Thompson, and a grandson, Richard Paul Cooper.

Left behind to treasure her memory are her loving husband of nearly 34 years, Richard L. Cooper, of the home; her children, Renee D. Kasdorf and husband James of Alexandria, Virginia, Richard L. Cooper Jr. and wife Keirra of Midwest City, and Michael B. Cooper and wife Kathryne of Del City; her siblings, Tina L. Kimberlin and husband James of Del City, and Laura I. Smith and husband Erik of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandsons, Kirk L. Cooper of Alexandria, Brantlee C. Cooper of Del City, Riley J. Cooper of Del City, and Jamyson R. Kasdorf of Alexandria; along with four foster grandkids, and a host of loving extended family and friends.
