Alicia Murray Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alicia Murray, who passed away from this life far too soon on March 18, 2024, at the age of 30. She was born Alicia Sharon Cox in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on November 16, 1993, to her proud parents, Christopher E. and Karen L. (Woolslair) Cox.

Alicia leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her husband, Baye Murray; two children, Sophie Cartwright, and Daxton Murray; her mom and dad, Karen and Chris Cox; and her siblings, Scott Cox (Kayla), Stephanie Austin (Jordan), Kayla Bell (Braden), and Paul Cox. Alicia is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Liberty, Christopher, Grace, Cameron, Koltyn, Royal, Carter, Briar, and Carsyn; her grandparents, John and Joanne Woolslair, and Gene and Joanne McCullah; great-grandmother, Luella Konrad; along with her close friends, Jamie, and Shaunna, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and her husband’s family, all of whom loved her so much.

Alicia attended high school in Choctaw, Oklahoma, graduating with the Class of 2012. A graduate of the Rose State College Nursing program, Alicia worked as an ICU Nurse and was applying to Nurse Practitioner’s school this upcoming Fall. She took pleasure in the art of baking and loved expressing her creativity not only in the kitchen, but with her crafting, crocheting, and of course, dancing. An adventurous soul, she also found great enjoyment in planning her next vacation, especially when it was to a beachy destination. Most of all, Alicia cherished her family. The love and dedication she poured into her family knew no bounds.

As we reflect on Alicia’s life, let us remember her for the beautiful moments she shared, the love she bestowed upon her family, and her unwavering commitment to the things that brought her joy. Her legacy lives on through the love and laughter she so freely shared, and the memories she created with the people she loved. Alicia will be very deeply missed.
