Adiliate "Tookie" F. Little

Adiliate F. Little, Age 96, of Moore, Oklahoma, born in Ada Oklahoma, daughter of Frank and Lottie Stie (Deceased) passed from this life into her eternal home on Saturday June 18, 2022.

Adiliate graduated Mill Creek High School in May 1945. After her graduation from high school, she married Joe Earl Little (Deceased) in 1946. As the wife of an Army military man, Adiliate traveled to bases at Fort Sam Houston, Brook General Army Hospital, San Antonio Texas and Fort Shafter, Tripler Army Hospital, Hawaii. Upon her husband’s retirement from the US Army, they returned to Oklahoma in 1962 and settled into a home in Moore Oklahoma in 1963.

Adiliate was a caring, loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to so many. Her ability and desire to care for others was frequently demonstrated over her life by her dedication to caring for siblings, her husband and her son, Jerry (Deceased). She saw them through many life taking illnesses and ensured that the lives they had on earth was as peaceful and comfortable as possible. She truly demonstrated her philosophy of “Treat Others as You Want to Be Treated.” She taught Sunday School on Army Bases and continued to teach and be active in church after the military time. She was a member of Southgate Baptist Church in Moore.

Adiliate is predeceased in death by her husband - Joe Earl Little, son – Jerry Little, parents – Frank and Lottie Stie, sisters – Bonita Stie, Bernice Waggoner, Verla Stie, Matha Wilkerson, grandson – Kelly Devilbiss.

Adiliate is survived by daughter - Margaret Devilbiss of Prague, sons – Joe Elwin Little and wife Margaret of Edmond, and Jeff Little and wife Kandi of Krum, TX, brother – Joe Frank Stie of Jenks, 9 grandchildren – Sherri White, Scott Devilbiss, Tammi Welch, Sandi White, Patrick Little, Shawn Knier, Amanda Madden, Kristina Martin, Jenna Goodwin, 18 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be on Friday, June 24th at 10:00 am at John Ireland Funeral Home Annex at 507 East Main Street, Moore, OK. Interment will be at the Troy Cemetery in Troy, Oklahoma.
