Alfred Williams Obituary

On March 26th, 2024, we bid farewell to Alfred Charles Williams, who has joined his heavenly father and cherished loved ones.

Alfred, affectionately known as “Fred,” was born on July 29, 1952, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was one of six siblings: four brothers—Alvin, William (“Bill”), Allen Richard, and David Bruce—and his sister Shirley Judd.

Fred’s heart was filled with love for his family. He leaves behind two children: Son Alfred, his wife Christie, and Daughter Jennifer. His legacy extends to his grandchildren—Jalyn, Darian, and Eric—and now great-grandchildren. For the past 34 years, he shared his life with his devoted partner and best friend, Sandy Jordan.

Fred was preceded in death by his beloved Mother Zelma and Father Alvin, Brother Bill, Sister Shirley, - along with other close family including uncles, cousins, nieces, and some close friends.

Fred’s journey began in Oklahoma City, where he attended Capitol Hill High School. After graduation, he explored various jobs before discovering his career in construction. Fred’s skilled hands and unwavering commitment to those around allowed him to assist numerous family members and grateful friends.

Fred’s larger-than-life personality and infectious humor will forever exist in our hearts and the stories we will tell. He loved football, particularly the Sooners, the Washington Redskins, and, in recent years, whoever the odds-on Vegas favorite for the Super Bowl was. And who could forget his beloved home companions Stella and Peety.

Fred was proud of his heritage as a member of the Caddo nation of Oklahoma and a descendent of the Choctaw Nation. This heritage likely aided in Fred’s love for the outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or the numerous camping trips, it was here that he wove many of the memories that will live on in the stories of friends and loved ones. These shared moments will continue to evoke laughter and smiles, ensuring that Fred’s spirit will never be forgotten.

As we say our goodbyes, let us celebrate the life of Alfred “Fred” Williams. He touched all of our lives and left his mark on most everyone he met.
