16-Feb-2012Severiano Deras, was born on February 21, 1932 in Acaponeta, Nayarit, Mexico and passed away on February 21, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 79. Severiano retired from General Motors after working for them for 28 yrs. He was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church since 1985. In his younger days he loved to spend his free time playing soccer, or dancing, & traveling back and forth to Mexico. On the weekends he loved to spend his time at the flea market or looking for garage sales. He also enjoyed having family Barbecue’s. In his free time he loved to sit and read a good book .His firat love was spending time with his family.
He is survived by the love of his life and best friend of 47 years, Victoria of the home; 6 children, Francisco Deras & wife Tammy, Severiano Deras Jr. & wife Andrea, Victor Deras & wife Kristin, Luis Deras & wife Joyce, Lupe Clements & husband Kristopher and Vanessa Deras; 12 grandchildren & a host of nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernabe Deras & Guadalupe; sister, Socorro Zavala.
A Rosary 7:00pm, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be held 10:00am, Friday, February 17, 2012 at St. Pauls Catholic Church, located at 3901 Sunnylane in Del City. Burial will follow at Sunnylane Cemetery.
