Salvatore Albano, 82, of Moore, OK passed away August 6, 2017. He was born August 9, 1934 to Nicola and Maria Albano in Elwood City, PA.

Salvotore heard his countrys call and joined the Air Force and Navy and served in the Korean War where he was honorably discharged for services rendered to his country. After the military, Salvatore worked in the aircraft business for over 40 years and was employed by McDonald Douglas for 33 years and retired in 1995. He was a loving husband and a devoted father, who was always there for his kids. Salvatore enjoyed woodworking in his shop. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially is grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna Albano; children, Steven Albano and wife, Aggie, Scott Albano, Mary Hinkel and husband, James, Ann-Marie Howdeshell and husband, Tony; 9 grandchildren, Sean Albano, Cody Icorn and wife, Ericka, Julie Albano, Steven Albano, Jr. and wife, Kayla, Joshua Cole and wife, Hilary, Tyler Cole, Zac Albano, Cameron Howdeshell, and Ashley Howdeshell; 13 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other loving family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Domanic Albano, Albert Albano, Mary Frances Scholl, Serifina Balk, Lena Zatkovich, Rosie Thomas and Jenny DiThomas.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Moore Cemetery, Moore, OK.

Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.

Although it is hard to believe he is gone, may all of you find the comfort and love in knowing that he is pain free. His spirit is still with you, and one day you will see him again! Love and prayers to each and everyone of you who had the privilege of knowing this wonderful man, Salvatore Albano.
