Roy "David" Rehbine, 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 18, 2017


Roy D. Rehbine, known as “Hoppy” in Sulphur and known as “PTO” Part Time Okie to his trucker friends, 73 of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on Nov. 15, 2017.

Roy was a rock truck driver. In high school he was involved in FFA, Gee Club, Student Council and played football. After high school, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was an ambulance driver in CA, his fame there was picking up Gov. Jerry Brown’s daughter after an eye injury. He enjoyed watching drag races, cars and boats. He lived a liberal life and was a very hard worker.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Pavon; children, Greg Boone, Shandalia Boone, Asia Pavon and Dameian Pavon; grandchildren, Alaysha Pavon, Anyiah Pavon, Anthonio Williams, Jr., Alia Williams and Amina Williams; brothers, Carl Rehbine and wife Margaret and Buddy Charles Wilson; sister, JoAnna De La Cruz and husband Enrique; nieces and nephews, Mark and Carletta Rehbine, Enrique II, Karissa, Gabriel, Charline De La Cruz and Nicholas Wilson; great nephew, Jaeden Harrison De La Cruz;

He is preceded in death by his father, Leo Rehbine; mother, Charline Thurlo Reece; brothers, Teddy Wilson and Kenneth Thurlo; uncle and aunt, Roy and Lena Palmer.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, Nov., 18, 2017 at John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK.  Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
