Roy H. “R.H.” Cox, age 84, of Norman, OK, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012, in Norman, OK. Roy was born in Alanreed, TX, to Josh & Bessie Cox. He graduated from High School in South Locket, TX. Roy was a noted brick mason, loved fishing, horse racing and visiting with family and friends. He loved to pick the guitar with his sons and sing.

Roy is survived by his children, Lonnie Cox & wife Sue, of Canadian, TX, Paula (Cox) Smith, of Pampa, TX, Steve Cox & wife Terri, of Amarillo, TX, Scott Cox & wife Tilly, of Calumet, OK, Debbie Cory, of Norman & Denise Henry, of Norman; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 4 brothers, Jr. Cox, Wallace Cox, Glenn Cox & Danny Cox; 1 sister, Sue Baird. The family of R.H. wishes to send out a special thanks to niece & nephew, Mike & Gion Eades. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Audrey; 1 brother, Carl; 1 grandson, Chance.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Eastern Avenue Church, 836 N. Eastern Ave., Moore, OK, with Pastor Harvey Spear officiating. In lieu of flowers, family suggests that donations be made to Eastern Ave. Church. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK.
