Robert Leon Duran, 71, passed away on August 8, 2017 in Oklahoma City. Robert, the son of Jesse Erwin and Helen (Craft) Duran was born on Dec. 2, 1945.

Robert was a retired butcher. He operated his own café called the Grill at one time. He was also employed by Albertson’s Grocery Stores and self-employed as a Federal Inspected Meat Wholesale Business. Robert was a member of Capitol Hill Full Gospel Church where he ministered and was very dedicated. He enjoyed fishing and going to the lake, especially lakes TenKiller and Lake Murray. He also enjoyed playing Dominos and Moon. Robert loved getting together with the family for a meal and fellowship. He loved sports and was an avid football watcher and Dallas Cowboy fan. He was a happy, kind and loving person with a giving heart. He had a great sense of humor and a zest for life. Robert’s first love was his Lord and Savior and being with his family and friends.

He is survived by wife, Patricia Duran; child, Debery Harmon; grandchild, Brandi Bailey; great-grandchild, Isaiah Cass; sisters, Nancy Barker and husband Steve and Marie Johnson and husband Robert; brother Jimmy Duran; and ex-wife, Beverly Meissner. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Ervin Duran; mother, Helen Montenegro; son, Todd Davis; and 2 brothers, Jessie Duran and Jackie Boren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 11, 2017, at the Capitol Hill Full Gospel Church in Moore, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, Oklahoma.
