Richard Lee Campbell, of Midwest City, OK, passed away February 3, 2018, at the age of 53, with his brother Tim.  He was born February 28, 1964, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Richard was the pastor of Rose Assembly Full Gospel Church.  He was a IAMAW Local 850 Union Steward.  Richard was a Grievance Committee member, Negotiation Committee member and trustee on the executive board.  Richard enjoyed vacationing with his wife, and son and family, but he loved being a pastor.  He truly enjoyed helping people and never hesitated to give back to the community and the church.  Richard loved to fish and help his son rebuild his truck.  Richard loved his mom and dad and his family.  He loved spending time with all of them.  There wasn’t anything you couldn’t ask him to do and he’d give up his time and do it.  Richard was well loved and appreciated by all, especially his wife and son.  Richard loved to smile and was a joker.  He was a great man and leader of his church. 

Richard is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tamara Campbell, of the home in Midwest City; son, Corey L.R. Campbell, of the home in Midwest City; his parents, Jim L. & Gladys M. Campbell, of Midwest City; brother, Steve Campbell & wife, Gayla, of Yukon, and their children, Andrew Campbell & wife, Tina, of Yukon, Lindsey Blume & husband, Tyler, of Granbury, Texas, and Natalie Campbell, of Yukon; sister, Teresa Cottrell & husband, Sonny, of Midwest City, and their children, Marisa Monholland & husband, James, of Oklahoma City, Jason Anthony & wife, Kathrine, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Brandon Campbell-Clay & wife, Mercedes, of Moore; brother, Michael Campbell & wife, Billie Jo, of Choctaw, and their children, Jordan Campbell & wife, Shea, of Oklahoma City, and their son, Abraham Campbell, Kevin Vale of Choctaw; brothers and sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, huge church family and numerous extended family and friends, as well as numerous Tinker Air Force Base co-workers and friends.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Olen & Dollie Campbell; grandparents, Clarence & Martha Keesee; and many extended family members. 

Funeral Services for Richard will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Liberty Christian Center, 1120 S. Post Rd., in Midwest City, OK.  Officiating the services will be by Pastor John Steiger and eulogy by Jimmy Williamson.  Interment to follow at Union City Cemetery, Union City, OK.  Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK.

Cut down in the prime of your life, Richard, gone too soon. We miss you and take solace in the fact we'll see you again some day. Thank you for all the times you helped us with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs to our homes.

Richard was soft spoken, kind hearted, and loved to help people whether it be through his church, in his local union, or by using his god given skills in the trade. You could tell that he had a deep love for his family when talking with him. He will be missed and we will pray for the family during this time of sadness.
