Louise Ardila Thompson, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away November 7, 2017, at the age of 85. She was born December 8, 1931, in Binger, Oklahoma, to Earnest & Velena Hewitt.

Louise was a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church. She always helped cook funeral meals for church families and at one time, she taught Sunday School. Louise enjoyed shopping, reading her Bible and watching TV. She enjoyed watching Charles Stanley Ministries and John Hagee. Louise was a waitress at Denny’s a good part of her working career and she also did home health care. She was a graduate of Binger High School. Louise had a kind, loving and giving heart, and if she would help anyone she could in any way possible. Her daughter-in-law, Gay said if nothing else, she would for sure pray for them. She had a fiery personality and you always knew where you stood with her on issues. Her first love was her Lord and Savior, spending time with her husband, Frank, the love of her life for 28 years, spending time with her son and daughter-in-law, and especially her grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her son, Darrell Thompson & wife, Gay, of Oklahoma City; 3 grandchildren, Robert Thompson, Tara Katerman, and Reta Cummings; 3 great-grandchildren, Ace, Samuel, and Austin Katerman. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; 3 brothers, Troy, Don and Wendell Hewitt.

Funeral Services for Louise will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2017, in the chapel of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 2301 E. Indian Hills Rd., in Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
