Lora "Ruth" Davis, 2:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2017

Lora “Ruth” Davis passed away with peace and grace on February 9, 2017. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Rollo in 2014. 

Survived by sons, Tully (Donna) of Tulsa, Jim (Ann) of Moore, Kelly (Karin) of Midwest City and John (Melissa) of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren, Cheryl Wilson, Justin Davis, Ryan Davis (Lessley), Christopher Davis, and Loralee Davis; great-grandchildren, Sarah Ingram and Megan Ingram. Ruth is preceded in death by her loving parents as well as five siblings, Fred Young, Nina Phillips, Roy Young, John Young, and Bill Young. Ruth was born in Woodlandsville, MO and moved to Columbia, MO as a young girl. She graduated from Hickman High in Columbia. After marrying Rollo in 1951 she devoted all her energy to raising four sons. After living in Columbia and Springfield, MO, Jackson, MS, and Moore, Oklahoma they retired to a small acreage on the outskirts of Moore. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2017 at the chapel of John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK. 

A graveside service for the family will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Norman, OK. 

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Sienna Extended Care and Rehab and all the wonderful and loving people at Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund of Moore. 

Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
