Leonard "Brent" French, 2:00 PM, Friday, October 5, 2018

Leonard “Brent” French went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 30, 2018. He passed peacefully while enjoying his favorite spot on his back porch overlooking the pond and animals. Brent was born in the back of a barber shop in Bokchito, OK on October 10, 1941 to Ramsey and Ollie French and spent many years in Southwest OK.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister, Joyce and her husband Sam, brother, Jimmy. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda; daughter, Stormi Risner and her husband Cody; sons, Chad and Chris Mendenhall; brother, Gene Brown; grandchildren, Chris, Braedon, Levi, Gracie, Adalynn, Connor, Tiania, Amber, Hunter and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Brent was a professional barber for 52 years at Tinker AFB, Del City Barber Shop and Friendly Barber Shop in Edmond where he cultivated many friendships. Brent never met a stranger. He was quick to welcome you with a smile, tell a joke and assign you a nickname. He was a joyful and gracious friend, protector and father to many. He loved children, animals, fishing, cooking, but mostly he loved his OU Sooners. Brent was a ‘salt of the earth’ type of man who was quick to lend a helping hand to others. He was a dedicated husband and a tremendously loving father and grandfather. We are all blessed and better for having him in our lives.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 5, 2018 at Capitol Hill Baptist Church located at 304 SW 134th St. OKC, OK. Interment will follow at Heritage Burial Park. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel.

To the Family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Leonard has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God's Kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ. READ John 5:28, 29, Job 14:14, 15,Psalms 37:29,Matthew 6:9,10 and Revelation 21:2-4
