My heart sunk when I got word of the loss of our beloved Jo (Nanna Jo).
Until recently I had my own notion of grief. I thought it was a sad time that followed the death of someone you love. And you had to push through it to get to the other side. But I’m learning there is no other side. There is no pushing through. But rather there is absorption, adjustment and acceptance. And grief is nor something that you complete, but rather you endure. Grief is not a task to finish and move on, but an element of yourself – a new way of seeing – a new definition of self.
Be kind to yourself. Take time for grief. Take time to remember. Take time for you. Let your heart be your guide.
My prayer for your family is that you feel the love that surrounds you.

Jo was such a sweet and funny lady to be around. I know she loved her Lord and shared that love with others at every opportunity. We will miss her greatly. Our condolences to Charles and the family. You will be in our prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear about Jo Ruth, I fully intended to come see her, but never seemed to have time, and now its to late. May God comfort you in this time of sorrow.

My earliest memories are my mom (Sue Ward Hart) and Jo Ruth drinking coffee while Joelna and myself played. She was a good friend to my family and our family has you in our prayers.
