Eunice Inez Wilson-Bishop, 10:00 AM, Monday, March 12, 2018




Eunice Inez Wilson, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away March 7, 2018, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 92.  She was born September 17, 1925, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Fred & Clare (Young) Latta. 

Eunice was a member of Trinity Providence Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and ironing clothes.  She was known for her Christmas fudge.Eunice also known for her smothered steak and fried okra.  She also made her favorite son-in-law, Bobby, lemon pie.  Eunice enjoyed watching “Wheel of Fortune” and westerns.  Eunice was a homemaker most of her life.  She had a second family, the Pat & Gloria Bryan family, of Moore, whom she loved dearly.  Eunice was a quite reserved person with a kind and loving heart.  She had a servant’s heart.  Eunice always said, “The key to living a long life was faith in the Lord and never giving up.”  Her stepdaughter, Tammy said that Eunice had a strong gentle spirit.  Her first love was her Lord and Savior, spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Eunice is survived by her husband, Louie Bishop, of Moore; 2 sons, Danny & wife, Debra, of Moore, and Larry Wilson, of Moore; 1 daughter, Debbie Roberts & husband, Bobby, of Grayson, Georgia; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 step-children.  She is preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Wilson; 3 sisters, Dorothy, Reja, and Florine. 

There will be a formal visitation on Sunday from 2:00 -4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Eunice will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 12, 2018, at Southmoore Baptist Church, located at 3801 S. Broadway, in Moore, Oklahoma.Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, in Oklahoma City.  Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, Oklahoma.

So very sorry for your loss. I didn’t get the pleasure of meeting her but she had to be a very special person to have raised such a wonderful daughter and sweet enough to put up with Bobby. My thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family.
