Edward Dwayne Leftwich, 2:00 PM, January 13, 2018

Edward D. Leftwich (Twitch), 59 of Oklahoma City, OK left these earthly hunting grounds on January 7, 2018 to journey on to greater rewards. Ed was born on March 28, 1958 in Winfield, KS to Jack Leftwich and Arlene Love-Seeliger. He enjoyed the outdoor life of hunting, fishing, camping, shooting guns, and traveling anywhere he could find a fishing hole. He loved to cook outdoors for anyone who showed up hungry at his campsite. Two of his favorite places to visit were Big Doe Camp in White Eagle, OK and the Rocky Mountains of Buena Vista, CO, where he cooked up his famous bacon wrapped butter brook trout. He was a leader and mentor to young men, teaching the skills of camping, outdoor living, hunting, and fishing to many; one in particular was Clayton Boyiddle, whom he took as a son. Ed was always willing to help and do what he could for others, and always stuck by his word. If he said he was going to do it, you could consider it done. He was honest, direct and straightforward, no one had to guess where they stood with him. Ed had a lifetime of experiences and loved to tell his stories …no matter how long it took. He acquired a strong work ethic as a mechanic working at his dads shop, Jack’s Auto Repair in Winfield KS. He worked a brief period in the oilfield but spent the majority of his life as a roofer at Standard Roofing and Alva Roofing.

He is survived by his son, Kallian Leftwich; daughter, Cheyenne Roy; grandchildren, Sienna, Shaylynn, & Serena Leftwich and Kasin Herndon; the love of his life, Delrayne Roy; mother, Arlene Seeliger & husband Carl; three sisters, Peggy Stalnaker and Dave, Jeni Hope and Steve, and Bonita Watkins and Scott; two brothers, Tom Faber and Lorrie, and Steve Leftwich; numerous nieces and nephews, and an abundance of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Leftwich, Grandma Jr, and his aunt Diana.

A memorial service is set for 2:00 PM., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at John M. Ireland and Son Funeral Home and Chapel, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK.

Ed's family at Alva Roofing was very sadden to hear of his passing. We will miss his stories, his mechanic, sheet metal, and roofing skills. We could always depend on Ed to get things done. He kept awesome records. I can still hear him saying hello when I would enter the building he worked in. I will miss his stories in which you always learned about his passionate interests. Ed had such a tender heart that was displayed many times. Rest in peace friend.
