Earl Head, 11:00am, 2/27/2012

Earl Edward Head, 80 of Moore, OK was born on September 12, 1931 to Earl and Annie Head and passed away on February 21, 2012 in Norman, OK. Earl was a member of Fresh Start Church. Earl heard his country’s call and served in the United States Air Force, during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He also worked for OPUBCO and retired after approximately 15 years. He was an avid bowler. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, and especially the Texas Rangers. He was part of the Breakfast Club at Carl Jr’s and enjoyed meeting his friends and visiting. Earl also enjoyed senior’s day at Riverwind Casino and he enjoyed making the rounds to the other casino’s and visiting with friends. Earl’s first love was spending time with family and having family cook outs and spending time with the grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sylvia Rose Head; 3 children, daughter, Karen Shultz, Steven Head and wife Becky and Bryan Head and wife Lisa; 2 brothers, Dean Head and Neal Head; 3 sisters, Reba Blankenship, Margie Denny and Frances; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are 11:00am, Monday, February 27, 2012 at Fresh Start Community Church, located at 309 N. Eastern in Moore, OK. Interment will be 3:30pm, at Schoolton Cemetery, in Schoolton, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin 4:00pm, Thursday, February 23, 2012.
