Diana Lynn Butler, 71 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on February 9, 2017. Lynn was born on September 20, 1945 to Roy and Dorothy Sharp in Kansas City, MO. Lynn was a banker. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, singing and cooking. Her specialties were desert especially cheesecake. She also was known for her chocolate chip cookies.Lynn would also just enjoy reading cook books. Lynn was a Blazers Hockey fan and she leaned towards cheering for OSU where she attended college. She also enjoyed crafts and she would make rabbits out of cotton cloths and fiber fill them. Lynn was in banking all of her working career, she started out at Citizens National Bank located at 23rd and Classen in the Gold Dome, she then went to work at South West Bank. After leaving South West Bank she was employed at U.S. employees OC Federal Credit Union where she retired after 25 years of service. Lynn was very dedicated to her church Grace Baptist. She was dedicated in the work of Lord by serving in the nursery and singing the choir. Lynn enjoyed traveling with her husband Russell to the West Coast and Alaska. Lynn was a loving giving person with a kind heart. Lynn’s first love was her Lord and Savior, her husband and her family. She loved being with family especially at family reunions. She is survived by her husband Russell Butler of 25 years; sister, Connie Mechem; 3 brothers, James Sharp, Robert Sharp and Roger Sharp; and brother in law, Marvin Butler. She is preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Loraine. Funeral Services are 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 15th, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church, located at 3141 NW 10th Street, Oklahoma City, OK. Interment will follow to Resthaven Memory Garden, OKC. Service are under the direction of John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home.
