Dennise Marie Lewis, 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 11, 2018



Dennise Marie Lewis passed away on Wednesday, September 5th after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.

She was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a loyal and faithful child of God.She married her husband, Danny in 1970 (after he, at first sight, had told his friend “I’m gonna marry that girl”), and they remained united in marriage for 48 years until her death.She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and never met a stranger.She was especially proud of being a Mimi, and was a wonderful grandmother to her 4 grandchildren. She devoted the final years of her life to taking care of her parents, as well as caring for her grandchildren, always with a smile on her face.

Dennise enjoyed traveling, going to church, and spending time with her family and friends.Her life was one of service and doing for others, and she would open her home to anyone who needed it, always making sure they were well cared for.

Dennise was preceded in death by her infant son, JJ; parents, Joan and JB Berryman; father/mother-in-laws, Jesse and Margie Lewis; and her brother, Robert.

She is survived by her husband, Danny; sons, David, Danny and his wife, Tonya; grandchildren, Lauren, Conner, Ryan, Malorie; brother, Duane; and a host of family and friends.

She was a one-of-a-kind, special lady and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Lynlee Mae Chapel, 507 E. Main St., Moore, Oklahoma.

Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK.

Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.
