Charles Anthony Mazzetti III

September 29, 1950 – January 28, 2018

Charles Anthony Mazzetti III passed away suddenly on January 28, 2018. He was born September 29, 1950 to Virginia Beall (Lytle) & Charles A. Mazzetti II in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up with his younger brother Murray. As part of a military family, his childhood included travel to many places including Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Iceland, Germany, and eventually settling in Oklahoma. He graduated in 1969 from Midwest City High School.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Carol Jean Holmes-Mazzetti; daughters: Candie Mazzetti-Evans & husband Jason, Christi Mazzetti-Watson & husband Mike, Kayla Mazzetti (soon-to-be Love) & fiancé Travis; grandchildren: Emily, Colby, Macie, Ryan and Maggi; and many other family and friends.

From a young age he followed his dream and love of music. He self-taught himself to play many instruments, loved to sing and harmonize, enjoyed being a member of multiple bands over the years and jamming with friends every chance he got, including all the way up until the last hours of his life!

His second passion in life was going to the lake, where he enjoyed fishing, taking his boat out on the water and parking his trailer for weeks and months at a time to enjoy time with his family and friends.

His goofy personality was infectious, his “always happy” attitude was comforting, and he always encouraged others to do what made them happy. He was a wonderful cook, a master at bargaining and finding a deal, extremely creative, the always-quirky joke teller, strong and an extremely loving husband, dad and grandpa. Words cannot explain how much he will be missed.

His family will host a celebration of his life on February 11, 2018 from 1-3pm at the South Lakes Event Building 4210 SW 119th St, OKC, OK 73173. It is a come and go gathering for family and friends to come together, bring a dish of food and share memories and stories of his life.

I wish I could have one more hug, one more phone call, one more "I love you". I know that Grandma, Grandpa have missed you and uncle Murray. I am sure it is quite the family reunion in Heaven! - Love and miss you - Candie

To Chuck: farewell to one of the most genuinely kind and non-judgemental people I have ever known. The world was a far better place for your having been here.

To Carol, Candie, Christi, Kayla, and your respective families: mere words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. Love Always, ~Shawn
