Bobby Ray Goergen, of Noble, Oklahoma, passed away October 7, 2017, at the age of 72. He was born December 16, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Clarence & Doris Goergen.

Bobby enjoyed working in his yard, listening to music, shooting pool and going to the lake. He also enjoyed working on cars. Bobby enjoyed watching “Criminal Minds,” “NCIS,” “Bull,” and “Walking Dead.” He also enjoyed watching horror movies. Bobby was an Oklahoma Sooners fan. He attended high school in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Bobby heard his country’s call and proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he received his Expert Badge, using a M-14 Rifle, and an Honorable Discharge for services rendered to his country when called upon to do so. Bobby was a truck driver for most of his working career. He was employed by A&E Trucking. Bobby was a jokester and he always had a comeback for anything anyone would say. He was calm in nature and would help anyone in need. Bobby was also an animal lover. He was a great story teller. His first love was his Lord and Savior, and being with family and friends.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Carrie Richardson, son, Lynn Bird & wife, Brenda, son, Allan Bird, daughter, Teresha Gilpatrick; 3 grandchildren, Dyer Richardson, Kaylie Richardson, and Felicia Young; 3 great-grandchildren, Trenton Young, Kaleah Young, and Aidan Whale. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Doris Goergen; and his son, Phillip Goergen.

Graveside services for Bobby will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Noble I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Noble, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, Oklahoma.
