Albert Henry Bollinger, 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 18, 2018


Albert Henry Bollinger, of Newalla, Oklahoma, passed away January 13, 2018, at the age of 79. He was born September 1, 1938, in Leedey, Oklahoma.

Albert was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newalla. He enjoyed fishing, especially at the Washita River. Albert also enjoyed dancing, waltzing and two-stepping. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Midwest City. Albert was an OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed watching “The Beverly Hillbillies,” and “Hee Haw.” He also enjoyed John Wayne, Roy Rogers and Gene Autry movies. Albert went to high school in Cordell, Oklahoma, and was a Cordell Blue Devil. He attended college at Oklahoma City University. Albert was employed at L & S Bearing Company as a machinist, and retired after 38 years of service. He enjoyed shooting pool with his son, Albert, Jr. He was ornery and he always enjoyed joking with his grandchildren, especially sticking his dentures out at them. Albert enjoyed working in his garden and feeding his deer and squirrels. Albert was a kind and loving man with a caring heart. His first love was his Lord and Savior and taking care of his family. Albert enjoyed spending time with his late wife, Luella, the love of his life for 46 years, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Albert is survived by 1 son, Albert Bollinger, Jr., of Moore, OK; 2 daughters, Teressa, of Noble, OK and Patricia Ashley, of Newalla, OK; 1 brother, William Bollinger, of Alpine, CA; and 1 sister, Shirley Cotney, of Elk City, OK; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, William & Margret Bollinger, Sr.; and his beloved wife, Luella.

Funeral Services for Albert will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the Lynlee Mae Chapel, located at 507 E. Main Street, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.
